Kia ora whānau,

Hand, Foot and Mouth is a common viral illness in young children. We kindly ask all families to please be on the lookout for any symptoms in your child, which may include:
If your child shows any symptoms, we ask that you please keep them at home to help prevent the spread of illness within our centre. Children may return once they are well and any blisters have dried and crusted over, or can be safely covered.
For your information, we have attached the Health New Zealand – Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease ECE guideline, which provides further details about symptoms, exclusion periods, and prevention.
We are continuing to follow our health and hygiene procedures, including increased cleaning and encouraging regular handwashing, to help keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our tamariki, whānau, and staff well. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak with us.
Ngā mihi nui,
The TNECC Team
